Hello CJ,
I have no plans to create a cutwork version of the GO! Be Dazzled designs. The AccuQuilt GO! dies do a much better job of cutting the applique shapes – a lot faster and much more accurate. The dies used in this project are all licensed to AccuQuilt, so I’m actually not quite sure if there would be any copyright issues in creating a cutwork version, even if I was thinking of doing it!

Hello Lisa,
The first thing to stitch out is a placement line to show where to fuse the applique shapes. The rest of the embroidery then sits right on top. So it’s really very easy!

How do you line up your embroidery after you fuse down you die shapes. is it difficult?

Sarah, I’ve recently discoverd your Bedazzled designs, wow, just stunning! Is there any chance that you will be making a modified version or future design utilizing the cutwork software and tool, versus the AccuQuilt dies to match?

Oh Sarah – in a lot of cases you can go into the lobbies of the various office buildings and take the escalator to the second floor – usually they have back lit map signs (kind of like store directories at malls) and you can kind of figure it out from there. I also use the landmarks outside (so I often check when I am crossing above a street to see where I am). Wish I didn’t have a neighborhood event tomorrow otherwise I’d come back down and help you out. Have fun – it was a great show.

From the Convention Center, you can take the escalator on the east or west end of the building up one level and you’ll be right in the skyway system. Today may be a good day to explore them with potential for a little rain.

Thanks Emily. I’ve heard about the skyways – and have seen a few while out and about. Haven’t figured out yet how to get into/onto them though.

Welcome! The Normandy is a shock on the eyes at first. Downtown is an amazing place. If you get a chance – enjoy the skyways. A lot of people compare them to hamster habitrails, but they are a great way to get around in bad weather. And you never know what restaurant “treasure” you might find.

The input about the 830 was not from me – “db” beat me to it, but gave such an excellent explanation that I didn’t have anything extra to add. I thoroughly agree that it is well worth spending the time to know this machine. It wil give you excellent results if you do.
